Diploma of Business Management
Actionofferquest runs a twelve-month diploma designed for team leaders who are already running a roster. Live workshops on the Robina campus, or online if travel is a problem, and every assessment uses your own workplace.
Diploma at a glance
A qualification your supervisor recognises on day one
The diploma sits between a certificate and a degree. It suits people who have moved into a team leader role and need the vocabulary and paperwork that go with it, without stopping work for a year.
Assessment is workplace-based. You interview your own manager, audit a real process, and design one improvement that the unit assessments can actually measure. Nothing is hypothetical if your workplace is willing to play along.
- Live workshops on campus, three Saturdays a month
- Assessments drawn from your own workplace
- Nominated workplace mentor for the full twelve months
- Recognition of prior learning reviewed at intake
Twelve months measured in real outcomes
Data from the cohorts that finished in the last two calendar years.
Operational planning
You build an operational plan for your own team, set measurable targets, then review the gaps six weeks later. Most students find their original targets were dreamt up without data.
Team effectiveness
The unit walks through recruitment, induction, and one difficult performance conversation. You record your own conversation and review it with a mentor before it happens for real.
Financial reporting
Budgets, variance analysis and a simple cash flow forecast. Students who dislike numbers usually finish this unit with a working spreadsheet of their own.
Payment plans and workplace packages
All fees include online materials, mentor review and graduation. VET Student Loans are not offered on this program.

How the twelve months run
Six checkpoints, from the first phone call to the certificate landing in your inbox.
Eligibility interview
A twenty-minute phone call covers your current role, workplace support and any prior study. We also ask whether your manager will sign off on workplace assessments.
Recognition of prior learning
If you have a certificate or two years in a supervisory role, you may skip up to three units. We review transcripts and a written role summary before enrolment.
Enrolment and mentor match
You sign the enrolment form, set up the learner portal, and we match you with a mentor who has worked in your industry rather than a generalist.
Unit delivery in blocks
Units run in blocks of four to six weeks. Each block opens with a Saturday workshop and closes with a written assessment submitted through the portal.
Workplace evidence collection
Throughout each block you gather evidence from your own site: rosters, meeting notes, budget sheets and one recorded conversation with a team member.
Graduation and transcript
Once the final unit is marked competent, we issue the testamur and a full academic transcript, and invite you to the graduation evening on campus.
Moments from the current cohort
Workshops, mentor sessions and assessment work from students who are halfway through.
The operations block opens with a live process mapping session. Every student brings a real workflow from their own workplace.
Monthly one-to-one reviews cover assessment progress, workplace evidence and whatever the student wants to talk through privately.
Students build a variance report from their own site budget and then defend the numbers to their mentor in a fifteen-minute review.
Team effectiveness includes a recorded conversation with a willing colleague, replayed and reviewed before the real discussion happens.
All submissions, workshop replays and marked feedback sit in one portal, so nothing is lost in email threads.
Each cohort finishes with a short evening on campus. Family welcome, certificates handed out, and a few very long speeches.
What candidates ask about the diploma
